These Terms of Use govern your use of the Kosher World mobile application and kosherworldapp.com. By using the app or website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
About Kosher World
Kosher World is an independent product directory developed by Hirschprung Digital. It helps users search information published by kosher certifying authorities. Kosher World is not itself a kosher certifying authority.
Important kashrut notice
Product listings are provided for general informational purposes. Certifications, ingredients, manufacturing processes, and availability can change. Before relying on a listing, check its notes and the current guidance of the named certifying authority. If information appears incorrect or unclear, contact that authority directly before consuming or purchasing the product.
Accuracy, changes, and reporting errors
Kosher World receives information from third-party certifying authorities and published databases. Although we make reasonable efforts to present that information accurately, listings may contain mistakes, omissions, delays, outdated information, translation errors, or differences from current packaging. A product's inclusion in the app is not a guarantee that it remains certified at the time you view, purchase, or consume it.
You are responsible for checking the current product, packaging, applicable notes, and the named certifying authority's latest guidance. If you discover a suspected error, certification change, discontinued product, or other needed correction, please notify us promptly at [email protected] with the product name, country, and supporting details so we can investigate and update the listing.
Free and Pro features
Kosher World offers free features and optional Pro features. Available features may vary by platform, country, app version, and device. We may improve, add, change, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary.
Purchases and subscriptions
Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to the applicable store's payment terms. Recurring subscriptions renew unless cancelled through the store account used to purchase them. Prices and available options are displayed before confirmation. Refund requests are handled under the applicable app store's policies.
Acceptable use
You may use Kosher World for personal, lawful purposes. You may not:
- Copy, scrape, redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit the database or substantial portions of it without written permission
- Interfere with, reverse engineer, damage, or gain unauthorised access to the app, website, servers, or data
- Use the service unlawfully or violate another person's rights
- Misrepresent Kosher World data as your own certification or rabbinic ruling
Third-party content and services
Kosher World may link to certifying authorities, retailers, maps, images, Apple, Google, or other third-party services. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or separate terms and privacy practices.
Intellectual property
The Kosher World name, design, software, original text, and presentation are owned by Hirschprung Digital or used with permission. Third-party names, marks, and source materials remain the property of their respective owners.
Availability and disclaimer
We work to keep the service useful and accurate, but the app, website, listings, translations, images, notes, and related services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted access, complete coverage, or that every listing will be current or error-free. Your use of and reliance on the service is at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kosher World, Hirschprung Digital, and their owners, contributors, and service providers will not be responsible for losses, claims, costs, or damages arising from or related to use of, inability to use, or reliance on the service or any product listing—including purchasing, consuming, serving, or avoiding a product based on information shown in the service. We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, loss of data, lost profits, or business interruption, regardless of the legal theory asserted.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, warranties, remedies, or consumer rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service or applicable requirements change. The date above will show the latest revision. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
